The company imports and distributes fruit for leading supermarkets and the person appointed to this pivotal role will be experienced with imported fruit and probably qualified at degree level.
With regular customer contact, the ability to develop good relationships with buyers and technologists at major multiples is a key attribute.
Maintaining strong alliances with growers and shippers is also a vital part of delivering high quality products to exacting requirements and this will involve occasional overseas travel.
Internally, there will be regular co-operation with Marketing and Procurement Directors as well as managing relationships with technical and admin staff at different UK locations. Skills in project management, IT and the ability to develop teams in these areas will deliver strong customer support.
