HAVE YOU GOT WHAT IT TAKES?
Based on the South Coast, our client is a dynamic supplier of high quality fresh food to a number of the country’s leading food retailers. To help meet increased customer demand they are looking for a professional and ambitious individual to join the team.
THE ROLE...
• Ideally based from their head office in the South, however it is envisaged that the role will require regular customer visits and therefore a wider South East/London location is an option.
• Day to day commercial management of one of their major multiple customers.
• Actively involved in the short, medium and long term development of the customer account and for expanding both sales and profitability.
• Responsible for new product development and product marketing within the account as well as involvement with the procurement, supply chain, operations and technical teams.
THE RIGHT PERSON...
• Will be a successful Account Manager with a proven track record.
• Would ideally have some experience of marketing perishable products - but this is not a limiting factor for the right individual.
• Must have knowledge of dealing with a top five UK retailer ~ familiarity with Tesco would be a significant bonus.
• Will be an excellent negotiator with fabulous communication and relationship skills and a commitment to first-rate customer service.
• Will have the ability to mix the cut and thrust of true ‘trading’ with the application of well honed category management skills.
