THE COMPANY
• One of the UK’s leading suppliers of premium fresh produce
• With an excellent reputation for product quality and service, they have built strong links with many of the UK’s leading Foodservice and Wholesale customers
• Due to continued growth they are seeking to strengthen their trading team with the appointment of an Account Manager to service a wide variety of local & national customers
ESSENTIAL
• You will be of graduate calibre, with notable commercial experience within the fresh food industry
• You will have extensive knowledge of Foodservice & Wholesale/Cash & Carry customers from an account management or business development perspective
• You will demonstrate excellent commercial & trading ability and will have experience liaising with both suppliers and buyers to ensure you are maximising profitability within your accounts
DESIRABLE
• Extensive experience within the Fresh Produce sector, ideally in a Trading role and a proven track record of winning new business accounts
THE ROLE
• Reporting to the Sales Controller you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of customers within the foodservice, wholesale and cash & carry sectors
• In addition to the inherited account portfolio, you will develop new business accounts by actively targeting prospective customers across the country
• Sourcing from suppliers across the UK & Europe, you will use your exceptional negotiating skills to ensure you maintain the best possible margin across your product range
• As an experienced Produce or Commodity Foods trader you will generate significant new revenue for this successful and entrepreneurial business.
